Our Story

The Bastion Wealth Management Group was born out of the idea that independent and customized investment advice and a comprehensive approach to wealth management are rare combinations in today’s marketplace. We are proud to be one of Nanaimo’s oldest investment advisory practices having been located in the C.M. Oliver building on historic Commercial Street since 1989. We continue the long and proud tradition of prudent investment advice coupled with a strong belief in superior service to our clients.

Our team Iain, Mike, Kim, Lynne and Jeanne are long-time residents of Nanaimo and Ladysmith and are proud to make the mid-island our homes. We live, work and raise our families in the Nanaimo area because of its laid-back lifestyle and it’s beautiful surroundings. It is this same attitude that drives our approach to our dealings with clients both new and old. While we work with one of Canada’s leading independent financial services firms we very much value our independence and strive to provide first-class, client-centric advice, communication and service that is more characteristic of times gone by.
